The Missing Years of Jesus Resolved

By Sacha Tarkovsky Shrouded in mystery, fable and legend, nevertheless the Bible recorded the birth of Jesus Christ and follows His life up to about 12 years old. To this day Jewish male children undergo Bar Mitzvah at the age of 13. This was not recorded by the Evangelists. Indeed, the life of Jesus is not considered again till the age of 30. To accept that Jesus was just at home with His family is a plausible explanation, but not in keeping with the Gospels that say at the age of 12, Jesus was at the Temple, and the people marveled to hear Him. Certainly, after His Bar Mitzvah, He would have been technically a man and no longer a boy, and would naturally continue to marvel the people. It would have been His right to speak in the Temple. There is no such record. There is much speculation, but a lot of recorded incidents and connections. One very important one is Joseph (Saint) of Arimathea. Certain he was a rich man, and certainly he was able to speak (in Greek and /or Latin) to the Roman governor at a very sensitive moment, so he was certainly influential. He gave his own tomb for the burial of Jesus, and paid for all the necessary burial formalities. There is no question he was close to Jesus, and as a member of the Sanhedrin, would have defended him in that assembly. There were more connections, and many very plausible. Joseph of Arimathea was certainly wealthy, but how did he amass his wealth? Arimathea, is not a town or district at all, but a Greek compound word meaning Harima Theo (by the Grace of God). He most likely came from Ramle or another town. He was said to be in the trade of metals; tin precisely. This would have theoretically put him in contact with England, where tin was mined and sent throughout the Roman Empire. More speculation has Joseph related to Jesus directly. It is been written by early Church fathers that Joseph was the uncle of Mary, the mother of Jesus. Certainly the Gospel has them familiar as when Joseph was burying Jesus in his tomb, he was accompanied by Mary (the mother of Jesus), and Mary Magdalena. Jesus Himself was familiar with Alexandria in Egypt (where He grew up) and as a major center of learning (the Library was there), Jesus would have also spoken Egyptian. Since where there is so much smoke there must be fire, the story of the young Jesus being accompanied by Joseph, his uncle, on a journey to England is certainly possible. The legend records the journey home, but with a diversion to Greece, and then into Asia Minor. There it is said that Jesus and Joseph departed, with Jesus joining another wealthy traveler with his son. At the time, there were Buddhist missionaries all over Asia Minor, and indeed as far as Rome and Egypt. It is plausible Jesus had encountered one or more, and thus found His interest and way to India. There are many records from early travelers to India having been shown or heard about Jesus time there. The famous James Churchward in his major work Mu the Lost Continent describes such an encounter. There have been many others including Notovitch in 1888. Aside from the fantastic speculation, many of the diversions from classic Judaism appear to be oriental in nature, and very specifically Vedic in nature. Where the Jews were waiting for a Messiah, the Hindus have their belief in Avatars which are human incarnations of God. So the missing years perhaps saw a journey from the Holy Land to Egypt, to England, passing central Europe into Greece, Asia Minor, and the Hindu Kush all the way to the Himalayas. There, Jesus would have found the perfect environment to slowly become the world Avatar that He has indeed become. There is no Hindu which does not accept Him as a divine incarnation. Here is William Blakes poem Jerusalem which alludes to such a visit And did those feet in ancient time Walk upon Englands mountains green? And was the holy Lamb of God On Englands pleasant pastures seen? And did the Countenance Divine Shine forth upon our clouded hills? And was Jerusalem builded here Among these dark Satanic Mills? Bring me my Bow of burning gold; Bring me my Arrows of Desire; Bring me my Spear; O clouds unfold! Bring me my Chariot of Fire! I will not cease from Mental Fight, Nor shall my Sword sleep in my hand, Till we have built Jerusalem In Englands green and pleasant Land. There have been many theories on Jesus the missing years and we hope you find our view thought provoking. Baby Clothes Home Display

By Ron Maier Jr. To add a touch of heritage to a childs room, why not display some of their own baby clothing. These little memories of made of cloth look great on a display hanging rack made for a tabletop or dresser. As the child grows older they will love to use their own clothes for their dolls to play dress up. To make your own display rack, these are the things you will need: 2 porch spindles scrap wood hanging rod (for a closet; a wooden dowel will also serve) screws drill with screw bit scrap fabric spray adhesive 2 rosettes (used for closet bars) wood glue 2 decorative knobs paint (color is your choice; you can also use a wood stain if the wood is nude) Take the porch spindles that you might have purchased at Home Depot or somewhere similar and paint them whatever color you wish, keeping in mind the colors of your childs room or furniture. Then, cut two pieces of wood for the base of the rack and the top. The size depends on the size of rack you wish to build. To hold three or for garments, the base should probably be about 18×8 inches. Set aside the top piece for now. Fasten the spindles to the base using screws through the bottom of the base. To make sure that the base will not scratch your furniture, attach a piece of fabric to the bottom with adhesive. Sit the rack upright and screw on the rosettes. Now place the bar on the rosettes as you wood in a normal closet. Take the top piece of wood and fasten it to the spindles with screws. Lastly, you can glue the knobs on top of the rack as decoration. Of course you can be creative and pick any decorative items you wish. Now you have made a fun new display rack for your childrens clothes. Place your kids clothes on the rod using baby clothes hangers, and the project is complete (wooden hangers may be the most decorative). Perhaps you will keep it in their room or perhaps you want it for your own. It quite possibly will become a family relic that will go on for generations. Is Online Data Entry A Viable Reality?

By Janice Sharman Many people dream of leaving the commute nightmare and the corporate competition behind for a work at home job. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, over 41 million people now work at home and many more would love to but don’t want to get involved with the hassles of website building, calling prospects and the many other aspects of internet marketing. Easy access to computers and the internet has helped to make online data entry jobs very attractive to a wide range of people. But is online data entry a viable alternative to a reliable offline job? Hundreds of offline and online employers now subcontract their data entry work. Why? Because it cuts down on their overheads. They do not have to add space, furniture, electrical output, or pay health benefits to accommodate the subcontractors. This has lead to an increase in the availability of online data entry jobs. Most of these jobs do not require you to have extensive training or much technical knowledge. If you can effectively manage your time, and know how to type and use the Internet you can profit from online data entry. It is also fairly inexpensive to start an online data entry job. You can begin with just a computer with an internet connection, which is very common in most households today, and additional start up costs of between $0 – $100. Another advantage is that most of these jobs can be done from anywhere in the world. There are several companies which provide a list of firms who need online data entry workers. They will train you to do the data entry work the firms provide. This service is available for a small one time payment of between $49 – $99 making it a lot easier to start out that having to chase down online data entry jobs on your own. So if your dream is to be your own boss, wake naturally each morning, work the hours you want and still be able to make a great living working from home, online data entry may just be the perfect opportunity for you to do so. Winter Skin Care the Natural Way – 7 Simple Tips for Softer Healthier Winter Skin

By Sharon Owen Winter is a wonderful time of the year – holidays, warm fires, crisp air, and for many, fresh fallen snow. But the colder temperature and lower humidity affect the condition of your skin and hair. Lower humidity just goes along with colder temperatures even if you live in a more temperate area without snow. Here are some suggestions for winter skin care to protect your skin and hair: 1. Sun protection is very important in the winter months, just as it is year-round. Many people forget to use sunscreen, but sun reflects off snow and ice, and you can actually get double the sun exposure. 2. Sun Glasses are even more important in the winter around snow. Believe me, you don’t want to know the agony of being snow blind. Without sun glasses, you squint and that lead to wrinkles around your eyes. 3. Elbows, knees, and feet are completely covered in the winter months, and usually forgotten until spring. Clothing and boots can cause friction that creates a buildup of thick skin. A good scrubbing with a natural lofah sponge, followed by a rich cream will remove any problems here. 4. The skin on your hands is thinner than on other areas of your body. Hands needs extra protection and winter skin care. Make sure that after washing your hands you dry them and use a good hand cream. Wearing gloves outdoors will also protect them and keep your skin soft. 5. Public restrooms with their hot air dryers and paper towels may be more sanitary but they are definitely hard on your hands. Carry a small tube of your favorite hand lotion in your purse. 6. Protecting your lips with a good lip balm is good winter skin care. Avoid licking your lips as much as possible, since that will cause your lips to crack and chap. Drink more water to give your lips moisture. If you get a bad case of chapped or cracked lips, use a good herbal lip balm before bed, and you should be good to go in the morning. 7. Winter winds and low humidity are also hard on your hair, and using a rich, deep hair conditioner is important to restore moisture to your hair. If you wash your hair every day, during the winter try washing it every other day. Brushing your hair every night will move the oil from your scalp onto the hair making it look healthier. Two Foods to Avoid If You’re Trying to Lose Weight

By Eunice Coughlin Everybody is different especially when they go on a weight loss plan. The diet that works for one person may not necessarily work for another person. Your genetics or chemical makeup can affect how you lose weight. Some people do very well on calorie-counting diets while others almost seem to gain weight when they go on restrictive eating plans. But there are two foods that, if you minimize or eliminate them from your diet, you will lose weight, no matter what your physical type. Processed Carbs If you think about how bread and pasta (the most popular processed carbs) are made, you will realize how deadly this food is to your bodys healthy weight. It doesnt matter if they end up on your table as whole grain bread, brown rice or White Wonder Bread, they are processed in the same way and contain the same basic density of calories. To make bread or pasta, you start with grains that are processed into flour. Each one of those grains has calories so when you have a few ounces of pasta or a slice of bread, you are actually eating concentrated calories in the form of grains. Then your body has to work hard to process it and your metabolism becomes sluggish as a result. Not only that but all those concentrated grains cause your insulin to spike which will also slow your metabolism. One more reason for grains to be eliminated from our diets is the fact that our bodies were not designed to eat grains. But our ancestors managed to find a way to process them so that we ended up with them in our food supply. Through a complicated process, eating grains allows incompletely digested proteins into our bodies and that can cause problems for your immune system. If grains can cause serious autoimmune disorders like rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis and Crohns Disease, its probably not a good idea to eat it regularly in your diet. (Read The Protein Power Lifeplan written by Michael R. Eades, M.D. and Mary Dan Eades, MD. for more information.) Dairy Dairy foods like milk, cheese and yogurt are not a good food to eat if you are trying to lose weight. It doesnt matter if its low fat, its still fat. You already have fat on your body that you are trying to lose, why would you eat more? Plus, milk naturally has sugar in it which means your insulin level goes up whenever you drink it. If you are eating animal protein, your body is getting plenty of fat from those food sources. If you cut back on the fat you are eating, your body will use up the fat your body already has to fill its needs to function and you will end up losing weight. Don’t worry about depriving yourself. Remember that as you cut back on these foods, the goal is to lose weight. Once you lose the weight you want to lose, you can add these foods back in with moderation. Could Etiquette Have an Effect on Your Child’s Future Income?

By Edith Vosefski Will your child’s lack of manners keep him/her from attending the college of your choice? In this day and age, dining out may be done from a paper bag, but many colleges and universities are now evaluating the social skills of potential students. Not all schools require personal interviews as part of evaluating a student for acceptance, but there is a trend in this direction. Often the student ia asked to attend a luncheon and his/her dining skills are monitored and assessed. Schools do not want people who are going to be uncouth alumni. I was recently privileged to be the keynote speaker at a Chicago university which sponsors a program for high school girls who are juniors and seniors. These girls are introduced to the possibility of choosing a career in the fields of technology, and have a chance to explore whether or not a career in the technological fields would be appropriate for their college major. As a professional in the field of teaching etiquette, I was asked to address these girls at a luncheon given in their honor. My mission at that luncheon was to teach the girls how to dress and present themselves for an interview, and how to exhibit proper dining skills while at the table. By the time we had worked our way through five courses including instructions; the students were well informed competent diners, and often amazed by what they had learned. Next, we addressed the issue that our personal income may be at least partially determined by how well we mind our manners and our attitudes. Our ability to be promoted may depend on our people skills as well as our techincal skills. Three seperate studies conducted by Harvard University, the Carnegie Foundation, and the Stanford Research Institue agree that “Success in getting, keeping, and advancing in a job depends 85% on people skills and only 15% on technical skills”. So proper social skills including courtesy and respect may be the bottom line in determining a profitable future. www.etiquette4u.com Edith Vosefski MA.,is the Director of the Etiquette School of Northern Illinois. She works with individuals, schools, and corporations who want to perfect their social skills. She is a graduate of Northwestern University, and believes that manners are just important today as they ever were. In fact, she also believes that etiquette can be fun, fascinating, and functional. She writes a newspaper column “Hats Off to Etiquette” which is published regularly by the Liberty Press. Meaning of Second Coming of Jesus

By Dattaswami Anil The names like Rama, Krishna, Jesus etc., belong to the external human body, which has taken birth. Such names are generated only after the birth of these human bodies. Therefore, such names are certainly the names of the external human bodies only, which are like the shirts. When the human bodies perish, these names also must perish. But these names exist as eternal names even after the disappearance of these human bodies due to death. The reason is that these names were directed towards the inner Lord even during the time of existence these human bodies. A person is carrying vegetables for selling. You call him by the name Vegetables. The person is not vegetable and the vegetables are not the person also. But the possessor of the vegetables is called by the name of the possessed material. Similarly, when the name Krishna or Jesus was called, this name was directed towards the internal Lord also. Therefore, even if the human body perished, since the Lord is eternal, Krishna or Jesus is also eternal. When Krishna said that He will come again and again, whenever necessary ( Yada Yada hi.Gita), it means the eternal Lord present in the human body will come again and again through different human forms. Similarly, when it is told that Jesus will come again, it means the Lord present in that human body will come again. Here the names Krishna and Jesus indicate the Lord and not the human body. When some body says that He will come again after 20 years, it does not mean that he will come in the same shirt. Even in the case of the ordinary human beings the name indicates the inner eternal soul also. When people say that Subba Rao died, it means that the name indicates the external human body. People say that Subba Raos last journey is today. It means that the name indicates only the external body, which is going to be cremated in the burial ground on that day. In these sayings the name indicates the external human body. But after one-year people say that today is the yearly ceremony of Subba Rao. When you have stated that Subba Rao finished his last journey one year back, how can you bring Subba Rao again after one year? Here the name indicates the inner soul. Therefore, even in the worldly terminology the name indicates both the external body and inner soul according to the context. Therefore, when you say that Jesus was crucified and killed, the name indicates the external human body. When you say that Jesus will come again on final day of destruction of this world, the name indicates the inner Lord. Thus, the same name indicates the external or internal item according to the context. When you say that Krishna danced in Brundavanam, the name indicates the external human body. When you say that Krishna will come again and again whenever necessary, the name indicates the inner Lord. If you realise this discrimination, you have no quarrel with any religion. When you say that Jesus or Krishna will come again, it means that the inner Lord is going to come in different human bodies again. When you are drawing the picture of Jesus or Krishna, the picture represents the external human body only and not the inner Lord. You can never draw the picture of the inner Lord because He is beyond the realm of imagination. You cannot say about the existence of two unimaginable Lords. When the Lord is unimaginable, He can be only one. If you say that there are two entities, it means that both the entities are imaginable. Therefore, you have to accept that there is only one unimaginable Lord or God. The external human bodies are different and cannot be one. When I say that Krishna is Jesus, it means that the Lord in the body of Krishna and in the body of Jesus is one and the same. It does not mean that the two different bodies are one and the same. Turn Your Favourite Flowers into Flower Paintings

By Theresa Evans Most of us have a favourite flower. We plant them in our gardens, we buy them at the florist, we are given them as bouquets to celebrate a a birthday, anniversary or to wish us a speedy recovery. Unfortunately, most blooms have a short life. I adore flowers and as an artist, I have learned to preserve something of their essence in a flower painting forever. If you have ever wished you could do this with a favourite bloom, then read on. Flower painting has a wonderful history. Botanical art has been used to document numerous species of flowers and plants. There is something very satisfying and magical about painting a flower and preserving just what it was like forever. Of course, flower photographs can do the same but when you paint you have the added pleasure of carefully examining the curves and colours of each petal, stamen, stem and leaf. You have to observe the way the light catches the flower and use this information to give it a 3D presence on your paper. By painting flowers, you get to know them intimately. I would advise anyone wanting to start painting to begin with their favourite flower, no matter how complex it might seem. By choosing your favourite, you will be motivated to try again to render it well. Your feelings have a better chance of being transferred into your flower painting too. When a flower painting makes you gasp, it is because it initially did the same for the artist and they have found a way of sharing that with you. It doesn’t matter if your attempts aren’t perfect. Each time you try you will become more familiar with it’s shape. It will seem easier to paint and you will notice more about the nuances of colour and the way light can affect it. Of course, there are some useful techniques which might help you learn flower painting. Many excellent art books have been written about this topic and your bookstore will certainly have several. But be wary of simply copying another artists’ techniques. You may be surprised to find that you are less satisfied with the results than you are with simply observing your favourite flower and perfecting your vision of it with each attempt. Try drawing with different materials, have fun and keep all your attempts. You will be encouraged to see how your vision and skill improves simply by practise. I use pastels, both the soft powdery ones and the deliciously oily variety. I love them because of their beautiful range of colours, from very pale to vibrant hues. I can extend this even further by overlaying thin veils of colour, allowing the underneath ones to sing through. Or perhaps you could try watercolour? This has long been a favourite of flower painters and botanical artists and for good reason. The way you can allow one luscious colour to randomly bleed into another, just as it does in nature, is very mouth-watering! As you can tell, I am fanatical about flower painting but I do hope I have managed to awaken a little curiosity in you. Have a go! What have you to lose? Theresa Evans is a flower artist. Her flower paintings can be seen or her website http://www.flowerportfolio.com where you can sign up for her free e-course on flower painting. Dandruff – Causes – Treatments – Remedies

By Marcia Dowrich Due to my passion for styling hair, I have come across a common problem that seems to plague a lot my clients and apparently a lot of person in the world today. Despite the type of hair you have, one problem that affects us all at some point in our lives is dandruff. Most people dont have an accurate definition for it, how it is caused and how to get rid of it. What is Dandruff? Simply put dandruff is dead skin that is formed on your scalp. Our normal bodily function causes us to shed dead skin cells daily, and they are replaced once a month. However in the case of persons with dandruff it is replaced about every two weeks. What Causes Dandruff? There are internal and external causes of dandruff. Internal * Hormonal imbalance * Poor health/ improper nutrition * Excessive perspiration/ poor hygiene * Lack of rest/ emotional stress * Excessive consumption of sugar, fat, starch * Heredity predisposition. Our skin produces sebaceous oils, which is encourages micro-organisms like bacteria and fungi as it produces a feeding ground for them. The hair follicles on our scalp produce oils, which is fed on by a fungus called malassezia fungus. Malassezia fungus irritates our scalp, and causes the dead skin to shed in less than 2 weeks as oppose to a month. It is the combination of the oils produced by the hair follicles and the dead skin cells that cause the clumping build-up also know as dandruff. External * Excessive use of hairsprays and gels. * Infrequent shampooing. * Improper use of hair-coloring products * Excessive use of electric hair curlers * Tight fitting hats. * Cold weather and dry indoor heating. The above listings dont cause dandruff but instead makes enhances the condition to an already dandruff plagued scalp. Dandruff occurs as a result of a natural process that occurs within the body and hence cannot be avoided; however attempts can be made to control dandruff. As stated in some of the external causes, it can be managed by frequent shampooing, good personal hygiene, good diet, nutritional supplements. However we can also keep it quite simple and cost effective with a basic household product. http://womensonestopbeautyshop.blogspot.com Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Marcia_Dowrich http://EzineArticles.com/?Dandruff—Causes—Treatments—Remedies&id=472856 what happens when you default on a payday loan new york payday loan adverse credit fast loan no credit check loans australia

The Pros & Cons of Beach Weddings

By Cindy English Beach weddings are popular but they do present “special issues”. Failing to consider these ahead of time could leave you unpleasantly surprised on your wedding day! There is certainly nothing that should dissuade you from your vision of a beautiful seaside ceremony. As a matter of fact, there are many benefits. Just know the issues and plan for them. Your wedding day will be a wonderful and joyous event! The “Pros” * A beach wedding can be much cheaper than a traditional wedding. Who in this day and age can’t afford to save money? It is said that the average budget for a wedding these days is between $20,000 to $30,000! That is an enormous and unnecessary financial burden to be faced with! Don’t start off married life enslaved by your wedding day debts. If you have that kind of money to spend, fine, but if not, don’t go there! Be practical and remember, the day is what you, your loved ones and your friends make of it…not how much you spent on it! * A beach wedding can be a casual affair. It allows everyone to relax. Your guests can dress comfortably and affordably. Often brides-to-be are unaware of the financial strain they place on their wedding attendants and guests. Not everyone can afford to buy that wedding outfit. * The wedding ceremony and reception can all be held right there on the beach. No need to travel to different locations. This is very convenient for everyone. Hey, even the kids can have fun at a beach wedding! * A beach wedding allows you to involve everyone in the activities. Guests are not restricted to sitting quietly in their seats. They can actually be a part of the celebration! * Beach weddings don’t always require a permit. If you are having a small ceremony and do not require a section of the beach to be blocked off…just do it! Simple yet lovely! * A beach wedding is a modern and refreshing change from the “stodgy” traditional wedding. It allows your creativity and personality to shine through. * There is no “right” or “wrong way” to plan a beach front wedding. It can be large, small, romantic, whimsical or even downright goofy! You can pay big bucks and hire everything out, or, you can be cheap and make everything yourself. The choice is completely yours! The “Cons” * The most important thing to remember when planning a beach wedding is that “Mother Nature” rules! Depending on her mood, she can brighten your day or rain on your parade! When planning your celebration, be sure to plan an “alternate location” should the old girl be cranky that day! * The beach is usually a bit breezy so take that into consideration when picking your location. Try to choose a “cove” on the beach that is protected from direct winds. * Be sure to check with local authorities regarding any permits needed to use the beach. This should only be necessary if you are having a large gathering and you want to block off a portion of the beach exclusively for you and your guests. Ask to be sure though. * Check on the “Beach Rules”. Ask questions. Can you have candles on the beach? Can you play music into the night? How late can you stay? Is there an area nearby for open fires should you choose to barbeque? * Speaking of food…don’t forget about the seagulls! They are notorious beggars and thieves. You can expect them to attend your beach wedding, uninvited! As long as you keep food covered and don’t feed them, they will stay on the sidelines. * Remember the tides. You definitely do not want to be surprised by the quick and unanticipated arrival of high tide! * On the beach, there will be bugs and sunshine! Make sure you consider the comfort of your guests. Bring sunscreen and insect repellant for those who did not remember to bring their own. * Chairs may sink in the sand if you do not rent flooring to place under them. However, if you are planning a “beach blanket” reception, you will not need chairs. Remember your elderly guests though. Plan for their safety and comfort. You will need to provide them with chairs and beach umbrellas to protect them from the elements. Beach weddings are absolutely beautiful but nature does provide an element of uncertainty. Careful planning on your part will eliminate most of them. Just remember… If every hair is not in place due to the ocean breezes or a seagull drops off his “wedding gift” a little to close to the punch bowl… These are not flaws or imperfections in your day. They are “memories”! Cherish them and have fun! Cindy English is the publisher of: Beach-Wedding-Themes.com Beach wedding themes full of fun, fantasy and romance!
